Thank you! How did you go about disinfecting the brooder? I have been removing any poop daily but I feel like it’s not enough

You need to do more than just remove the poop. Completely empty the brooder (put the chicks in a box temporarily), wash it with soap and water, do a vinegar spritz, let it sit on there for a few minutes, rinse in really hot water, dry, and add new bedding (just cover the bottom, don't put it in thickly). Wash the food dish in soapy water, wash the waterer in soapy water and rinse both in hot water. At least, that's what I did. I also bathed a couple of the baby silkies that got pooped on by the sick chick. I kept them all together to treat them all to be on the safe side. My golden-laced Polish seems to finally be doing better.

Removing poop is great.
