Oh no!!! I got 4, what was supposed to be pullets from a local place... And now 3 out of the 4 are being confirmed as roosters... My 4th one is still to young to tell... I don't know what I am going to do. We aren't technically supposed to have roosters where we are. :( although the people behind us have goats, donkeys, and I'm pretty sure I can hear a peacock so we might wait and see if someone complains.... Haha we discussed this last night and I decided our only other option was to move! Reluctantly we have started at looking at bigger pieces of land today. :)

By "local place" do you mean feed store or private breeder? Feed stores usually just tell you you're stuck with the bird, but if it was a private seller selling sexed birds they need to fix it for you. Even if it were a feed store, I'd be going back and get something for this. At least 75% roosters is just inexcusable.

It was a local breeder... Well in all honesty I will NEVER buy a chick from those people. The conditions they were keeping them in we're awful. I felt sorry for all of the animals they had there.. I would feel even more awful taking the chicks I have raised and exchanging them for another. If I do have to end up getting rid of any of them I will make sure they go somewhere nice. But I agree it is inexcusable.... I have learned my lesson from this particular place.

HI. Did you ever determine if it was a rooster or not? I have a blue cochin that looks exactly like that. The store said 98% pullets. I cannot have a rooster due to the noise, no matter how cute! The last 3 pictures I took today, he/she is about 7-8 weeks old
