I have 3 blue and splash Cochin's that are currently 8 weeks old. I am pretty sure I have 1 pullet and 2 cockerels but there is 1 that I am still back and forth on. If I could just get opinions, that would be great! Thanks :)

#1 Pullet

#2 Cockerel

#3 Cockerel??? this is the one i question. i believe its cockerel but not 100% due to its comb being a lot smaller then the guy up above and very light pink also compared to the guy up above, also has very little to no wattles compared to the guy above and they are the same age. what do you all think? i did attach a pic of them side by side.

Yep, agree, pullet.

#2 Cockerel
Yep, agree again, the blue one's a cockerel.
So is the ginger boy in the bottom of this pic, I reckon.

Yep, cockerel, the development is very similar but the differences you noted are normal, in any clutch you will see males and females at different levels of development. Generally those most developed are the healthiest or most precocious and the 'natural alphas'.
Best wishes.

Thank you all. and yes Chooks4life that ginger boy is an easter egger and for sure a little cockerel. he has deep red patches like i have never seen but hes very pretty. I have ended up with a lot of cockerels out of this hatch but thats alright, they need loving too
