Cochin roo or hen

Both of these chicks are 6 weeks old and are from the same hatch, although the buff is larger and more fully feathered. Their combs and wattles seem awfully large and red for this age, but I have never had cochins before, so I'm not sure what to expect with them. I am really hoping that at least one of them is a roo because I lost my sweet roo to a fox attack a few weeks ago.

With combs that size, both are cockerels. Sorry you lost your rooster; hopefully, one of these will replace him!

I have a hunch they are both roos too, but one is significantly smaller than the other and hasn't feathered out as quickly. Perhaps he is simply a runty roo?
