We got some bantams and RIR's and the lady threw in a few others for free. Two of them we are told are Cochins, looking at pics I believe they are. Most of our chickens free range, with the exception of a few bantam hens and our RIR hens, which are for laying.

So in the pics are the two that I am calling Cochins, I think they are both Roo's. From what I have read this breed are pretty laid back and one of them is the other fights with everyone. Can anyone confirm breed and sex for me?

This is Cotton. He (?) is openly mean to everyone especially the other Cochin. There are a few hens and roosters that will put him in his place, but he always comes back for more.

B.B. such a sweet bird. At first we thought he/she was a hen, as the comb on this one did not come in as fast as the other Cochin Cotton. B.B. here runs and hides often because Cotton the other Cochin is so mean, but when we do get graced with B.B.'s presence we are followed all over and he/she lets us give pets and treats.

yes both are very beautiful cochin roosters B.B is VERY beautiful he has a pretty good roundness to him and the feathers on his legs are beautiful he is a keeper for sure!!

Edit to say: Cotton is a White Cochin Rooster and B.B is a Barred Cochin Rooster

Let me stary by saying, those guys are so cute!! I love cochins.

They are both boys. The first one looks like a white cochin, and the second one might me a barred rock cochin. I'm no expert though, so I may not be right.

Thanks! I thought the same but I just wanted to make sure. I just got done uploading some more pics of our flock. B.B. is very sweet and gets along with everyone, but gets picked on by a few other Roos. I hate to admit it but if I can't get Cotton to be nice, I will have to re-home him.

Wow I knew I thought he was a pretty boy but y'all would make him blush! lol I was just going to keep him around as a buddy, but maybe I should find him a lady friend. If I did....should I look for one with the same coloring? Or find one that is another color?
