Cochin sitting on egg

Hi, but most my chicks that are females and have bad shots at a feed store. But every so often get rooster, and she mates with females u til I send her back to them, I candle eggs with box with light inside and do a few days till I know definitally if baby inside.

So, point is I have two that hatched first one was picking it’s beak out and she’ll stsrted come off but was stillside the embryo so I put light inside the coopnlart house, I have double coop walk inside and a double inside cool, so I used a seeing and feels it water till it finally came out took hours like 10 I kept going out check and my teen girls
So good news she’s ok, second one I found inside coop with my Cochin that sits on eggs and she was running around so cute , brought her inside too. So worked out good now have two baby chicks plus 4 I bought from feed store they rare breeds that produce chocolate and specked eggs cool.

But now my Cochin still sitting on like 8 now keep candling them. Dark inside see little air socket great an ddayed them.

But last few days been noticing a bad Oder ranches u see her, so I smelled eggs found it, and broke it and u fortentally a baby inside but dead, I tried to heat her and start heart but to late she must been dead under Mom.

So I put In woods, so nothing I could do I felt bad but it was dated March 5, so it was two months old which I know when they crack and come out and if alive they come out
Between 24 - 30 days approximately tally right? So she still sitting on 7 eggs, so should I just wait it out see what mom does, will she break egg or throw it to side if bad? How do I know, the others almost month? I’m guessing,
My other baby chicks cute started in house now about month half old so put in other cages side food and water housed area with ramp so cute. They so happy and other chickens see them but can’t get to them, I won’t let them out till they get older and about same size of other one well close.

We got three swings for them too they love sitting on houses or wires, I’ll send pictures.
Well did I do right thing felt so bad the other baby eyes beak feet nothing moved so it’s was definetally dead and bad bad odor. Well I’m praying others ok. How much longer should I let my Cochin sit on Ober eggs

Hens should only be allowed to brood until the 21 day mark or until their chicks hatch, maybe 23 days. You need to candle the eggs and look for life, the air sack doesn’t indicate life. If the chicks are alive you’ll see red veins and a moving chick. If dead, you’ll see a still black blob in the egg, no veins, maybe a blood clot.
If the eggs have been under her for more than 25 days, they’re dead. 23 days is expected, 24 at the absoloute most, chickem chicks take 21 days, usually, not 25+. If they’re bad, throw them away and break your broody hen.
