I’m usually pretty good at sexing my chicks but these breeds are new to me.
Standard Golden Laced Cochin (7wks)- I thought this one was going to be a rooster but now I’m not sure. It does not exhibit any cockerel traits. The lacing seems too perfectly patterned for a cockerel and lack of comb or waddle has me asking for your opinion.
Black and White Easter Egger (7wks) - I expect this one to be a cockerel based on its feather pattern but it has no comb or waddle yet. Comb appear light pink in the picture below but is still flesh colored. He does not exhibit any cockerel traits.
Those spots on it are poop and not rust colored feathers.
My newest Blue Laced Red Wyandottes are only 3.5weeks but have me very suspicious even though they are suppose to be pullets. Their combs are way bigger than my 7 week Wyandotte was at their age and they are play fighting like my last batch of roosters did. Also a lot of warning call noises from at least one of these.
Thank you for your input!
