I’m in a terrible situation here. I love bantam Cochins. My favorite chicken ever was Favorite, the accidental purse-chicken. She was a tiny black Cochin. The only reason I don’t have Cochins now is that none could ever be as awesome as Fave.

But I’m also positive from everything I see that I would absolutely fall in love with Orpingtons the moment we meet.

I can’t choose a preference until I’ve someday hatched Orpingtons and made a first hand comparison.

All of the American ones I've ever met were buttholes. The English one I had for a little while was amazing.

They are cute. I have nothing against Cochins, I just like Orpingtons better.
