My wyandottes are the loud ones here.
my rocks are chatty Cathy's, but when my dottes go off, I think they're being murdered.
My Lorps and sussex are probably my quietest hens.
I think my rooster is my quietest chicken over all.

I was told that barred rocks are good beginner chickens as the are sweet and quiet. That person is a lying liar because those girls are wailing demons from the underworld.

I doubt it .
First I have Skipper, a 14 pound ram cat, who is pure muscle and dislikes dogs as mush as his mother Harlie " 'Coyote cleaver" Squints. She's 6 lbs sopping wet and we have a coyote with only one eye .
