Sorry, Jade, I have to prefer Orps. I just like the cleaner look. And feather leggeds don't do as well in my climate. My spring babies have feathered legs and I didn't realize during fall (muddy season) I would be scrubbing 6 muddy feathered feet daily.
I did have 1 Cochin (Partridge) but she died before she reached a year old. She was very sweet, but I still had to scrub her legs. Cochins are lovely in other people's coops. Lol

It’s worth the work. Though mine died so I don’t have any anymore, cochins are far superior. I think my ameraucanas are messier than the Cochin I had.
