Cochins

Been thinking about getting a cochin hen as a broody. Has anyone else had a lot of sucess with cochins. Also would you recommend a bantam or a standard size? I live in a very cold area.

We just got our first Cochin bantams recently. Sorry I don't have a lot of experience with them but they are very sweet birds. I believe there is a fairly active Cochin thread on here. I have bantam cochins, I'm in MD (it gets pretty cold here this time of year) and they do pretty well, as long as there are enough of them in each pen to snuggle together. My cochins are awesome at hatching out my call duck eggs!

I live in Maine and it sure gets cold here. My bantam and LF cochins do tend to be broody.
