I am fairly new to chickens. I have kept a few hens in the past and had the opportunity to start again about a year ago.
I purchased a few ex-battery hens and started looking after them. With a little more space and an interest growing. I recently took ownership of 3 Blue Orpingtons (Thank's Boeremeisie, she also told me about the site). I also have 5 buff orp chicks and two lovely koekoeks. I hope to learn lots.
My Great Grand father used to show Jersey Giants and Australorps and won medals. Maybe I could do the same some day. For now it's just fun.
