Cock fertility

I want to put a cock in with my girls and incubate their eggs. Does anone know how long the cock must be in with them before I can be pretty much guaranteed that their eggs would be fertile? I have scoured FAQ's but didn't find an answer to this particular question.

It could be as soon as a day or two,but mot people like to wait about a week,if the hens are by themselves. If they have been with a different roo, you'll have to wait 30 days to be sure.

My hens were originally without a rooster. When I added "Cranky" the XXL buff orp, my eggs were fertile within about 10 days. I say 10 because I took an egg each day & put it in the bator. I candled each of them about a week later & the fertile ones arrived on about day 9. Just my experience.

when i have put them in from no roo to a roo, as early as day 4 eggs have been fertile. if i want to switch roos or pure my lines i seperate the girls for 3 weeks to ensure they r pures.
