Hi
Well, we introduced two bantams (adult cock and hen) to three 13wk old marans yesterday and there wasn't fighting, which I was actually expecting!
So I was well happy, but when I went out to check if they had all gone into their coop in the evening, they all had...apart from Aquarius the cock! He was perched on
the ramp! My dad checked him at two o'clock in the morning and he was still perched outside! Luckily the weather was dry.
Is he guarding the hens because he doesn't know the door can close? My dad said we could take away tge ramp once all the hens are in and put a box there instead so Aqua
can still fly up into the coop. I think he will still perch on the box though, so can somebody help because I'm afraid Aquarius might catch cold sometime soon
