Cockatiel gender - Help!

Can someone help tell me what gender my cockatiel is? The pet shop lady said it was a baby boy, but she could not guarantee. She wasn't even sure how old the bird was.

Looks like a girl to me, I am going by the grey colouring on the face with the dull cheek spots and the barring on the tail that I think I can see, can you see the underside of the tail? if it has yellow streaks/barring it points to hen.

Thank you. That's what I was thinking too. I know the bird is awful quiet. We've only had the bird three days and she said the bird was a baby but I think too from everything I've researched it's a girl. Thank you for responding.

It's a pied, so there's no telling for sure. Looks about 3 or 4 months old to me, or at least young. I think it looks like a male, my Jay looks quite similar. Jay has a dark greyish face like yours, and he's a definite male. I could post a picture if you'd like, your's looks the same age.

Thanks! That would be great. The pet shop owner where I bought the bird said the bird was young but she didn't know exactly how old.
