Please help. I originally thought I bought a boy (baby) bird but then I thought it might be a girl. Then I bought another one. So, now I have two birds and aren't sure of either one. If you can help I would appreciate it.

The yellow head is the original I bought and has not said a word until I brought the white headed one here. Now if you take one out of the other's sight the chirp for each other.

If you look under the ends of their tails. The male will be a sloid color and the hens have barring. That's if they are old enough to sex.It takes about 3 months to be sure.
In N.H.,Tony.

They don't look old enough to have mature feathers, and they are both pied, so you can't tell for sure what they are. But I think the top one is a boy, and the other is a girl :)

I agree with Luna. I had heard that the intensity of the orange circles are an indicator of sex. My first cockatiel was a female and she had very soft color features on her cheeks. My current cockatiel JoJo has very vibrant orange cheeks and he is male. Not sure if that method is accurate but I know of other parrots and caged birds that are sexed by their coloring. But I will state that if a bird is malnourished it will affect their coloring too so if you rescue a bird keep that in mind too. Hope this helps!
