I also spend a fair bit of time involved in the breeding of show budgies, due to having an elderly mother who breeds them and needs help with them sometimes. But don;t tell her she needs help, at over 90 she is fiercely independant.

Going over in a bit to help fill some of the freshly set up breeding cages - niece and her partner kindly came up (from the city 500kms away) for the long weekend and did a lot of cleaning/setting up.
1st egg of the season arrived at mums - not the pair we expected it to be - but they like to keep you guessing.

The one who layed the 1st egg has decided to only lay at 4 day intervals instead of every 2nd day as is usual for Budgies.
