Curious about who all here keeps cockatiels in an unheated building during the winter. I've seen a few post about it and I'm looking for more information. Thanks

I don’t have cockatiels but I keep budgies outside. They do have access to a shed area that is heated during winter to 45*F+\- They venture out during daylight hours at temps below freezing

I’m in southern indiana. Everyone survived recent winter storm Elliot.

My budgies live outdoors with no heat and survived that so called terrible blizzard...

Make sure birds are acclimated to cold temps before keeping them permanently outdoors, usually starting them early fall allows for them to adjust to falling temps.
