Cockeral or pullet

9 weeks ago we purchased our 1st 6 chicks from Tractor Supply, We have having a tough time determining the gender of our 2 White Leghorns. They are currently 10 weeks old. Is anyone able to help us out? Thank You in advance

Your two "White Leghorns" are cockerels. Also, they look more like Delawares than White Leghorns.

They look like my Delaware. Notice the lacing of dark tipped feathers around the neck? Mine has barely any comb & very little reddening of the comb + mine is 13 weeks, so I agree - cockerels.

However, 1:1 male to hen ratio does not work so well...

You should start making alternative housing plans for your cockerels now. Before you know it the hormones will start flowing and your pullets will likely get ganged up on. this leads to screaming and fighting and is pretty upsetting to the flock and the humans. Once that's already happened is a poor time to come on here asking for advice on managing the cockerels.
