Cockerel chicks?? UPDATED more pics!

Thanks for that- will have to read up on the sex link thing, we got these chicks from a place that takes all the "boys" after they are sexed as day olds...he has up to 500 offered at a time. We only intended to take 2 but as they were only 2 days old, was persuaded to take 3 in case one died!

Oh and forgot to say the red one is Ginger- he is the most mellow of the 3!

We are not sure how the rescue girls will feel about the boys, or what their offspring might be...also not sure we get production red poultry in uk? I did a search for it but nothing came up.

Other thing that is confusing me- not hard, I can be slow- is that if the chicks were sex linked, why would they get taken to be sexed by some chap who does it for a living?
Our hens are ex commercial egg layers which I believe are hybrids of RIRxLight Sussex. If we were to incubate eggs what would we get? Sorry if this is a basic question but very new to all this colour thing...

well it is clear from the crowing that has started that Midi is defo a boy! No noises yet from the other two, but Midi is strutting around and making strangled cat noises...
