They're free range. We let our hens run freely. Our chicken coop we bought small one when they were young and later my mum ask my dad to expand it more spacious but turn out those hens just used to the small area. They always sleep together in the area where they lay eggs. So now our chicken coop kind of look like 2 rooms like apartment one bedroom and living room something like that. As for bed time, our hens sleep inside the small chicken coops once they in we closed door. Then we took newbies to sleep the expanded area. In the morning, we took newbies to that separate area first then went back open the inside door for hens to come out.
