Cockerels or pullets?

Hey guys,

I just wanted to see what anyone thought of these chickens sexes. These chickens are approximately 8-9 weeks old, two of which are australorps and four barred Plymouth rocks. I'm almost certain I have two pullets and two cockrels, but I'm not 100% sure of the other two.

Looks to me like you have two definite cockerels, one each of the Aussie and the BR, and possibly the other Aussie may be. You'll have to check back in a couple of weeks. That said, the only for sure pullet I see is that darker BR. The lighter BR and the Aussie with the big, reddish comb and wattles are both cockerels.

OK thanks guys! I'll keep an eye on the Australorp for now and if I'm still unsure in a few weeks, I'll post again.

Agreed, the Australorp with largest comb/wattles is 100% cockerel, as is your lightest Barred Rock. So far, the other two are looking pullet. Pretty birds.
