Hi--this one is 9 1/2 weeks old. Name is Luna...for now. Sold to me as a sapphire gem pullet which is sex linked, so I would have thought that one would be an easier one to get right by the people who sold her...but I'm questioning. S/he pinked up faster than all her flockmates, and still is. She is also much lighter than my other sapphire gems.Tried to get pics of feathers, etc. Let me know what you experienced chicken people think. Does Luna need a new name? Thanks!

Female...

Thanks everyone. I appreciate it. I don't care about the breeds of my chickens so much, but a rooster would make things more difficult in our neighborhood. And she is so pretty and different than most of my other chickens that I was getting sad about possibly needing to rehome her. I guess the final confirmation comes when they crow or lay an egg. I appreciate your help in the meantime!
