I have 5 cockrels that I'm growing for food, each night I put them in their little house and each day I let them out to free range. Last night or early this morning, 4 of them ganged up on one. Nearly killed him, so I'm nursing him but cleaning the wound and hopefully he will be okay and still put on weight so we can eat him. ANYHOOOO

so my thought was to put them in a larger enclosure at night where they are not tempted by the hens during the day to get their mojo going. The only problem is, it's the duck enclosure. There's a LOT of space as it's in the orchard but do you think the roos will bother the ducks and their ducklings? or will they just ignore them? Right now they can see each other through the fence and don't seem at all interested in the ducks or ducklings.

I don't want to chance this gang of 4 to try something with my ducks, but I don't really have any other option at this point. jerks.

thanks!

Jo
