Hello Everyone!

Does anyone have experience with using coconut fiber bedding inside their coop? or inside the run?

My local feed store sells Coconut Cowboy and I wanted to give it a try. They say it is a great soil amendment and lasts longer than traditional pine shavings. I know that it is more expensive than traditional bedding but it would be worth it for a better product.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!!

I did a search here and didn't find anything but this....I'm wondering if the coconut product might be dusty.
I use kiln dried pine shavings and totally change them out every six months, but I use a roost board too.
10-15 dollars a year is pretty hard to beat and I've found them to be excellent at drying out poops, easy to mix up and hot composts pretty well.

Yes, love it. Drive from SD city to Escondido to buy it by the bale.
