Those pics are much better. So I think I might have figured out the 3 weeks vs 6 weeks issue. Was that first (blurry) picture at 3 weeks 5 days and these last two at 6 weeks?

The one on the right in the first picture is a pullet. You should start to notice a small single pointed nubbin at the top of her comb area soon, if not already. The head feathers are blocking my view of the area. She's gorgeous! At 6 weeks you'd notice a definite comb along the entire comb area if it were a cockerel. Hope that makes you feel better.

I got bunch of 26 chicks from the store. We wanted all girls. One of them turned out to be a rooster, and another (golden lace wannadote) may be a rooster to.

Wyandottes should not have single combs, they do happen on occasion, but it is not standard, no matter what color they are, gold, silver, blue laced red, etc. So you can't go by that.

I think your chick is a little young to tell yet, be patient, you will know soon.

My first rooster was a Silver Spangled Hamburg, too!! He was a beauty but I always had to watch my back when I was in with the chickens. He passed away several years ago and now I have a big beautiful EE roo and so far he has never shown any sign of being 'people aggressive' although he will put the silkie roo in his place.

Your GLW's sure are pretty. I like that coloring better than the SLW's that I had.
