I have one out of 4 of my babies that survived an coccidiosis. It is my sweet 7 week old golden laced wyandotte. I already have a Sapphire Splash Rooster with 3 hens that are full grown (about a year old). I want to slowly introduce them. When the chick chirps and cries out, the Rooster heads over to it's directly. I had them inside and screened in porch to observe closely and protect the youngster from potential harm. The rooster did peck the chicks fave one food time and the little guy chirped and hid. So I would like some advice on how to slowly introduce them. Right now the chick is all alone unless I love on it when I have time. I also would love to know if it looks to be a hen or a rooster. Such a sweet chick here are pictures I took today.
