What's the temperature where you are???

It's not been too bad. The wind is blustery but not constant, and we had a few brief episodes of actual sunshine later in the day.

It's when it's windy and permanently wet that it's really grim.

And as long as one can get out of the wind then I find it's tolerable. The wind and the cold here is what's really miserable - it make sthe snow blow around. Miserable.

Most of the time I don't really notice the wind until it's strong enough that you have to change how you walk. Same here with the wind and the rain though - it can be raining in more than one direction at once, and one of those directions can be uphill. Everything is wet and muddy and miserable then.

Nope - we don't generally get a full-blown hurricane, but the tropical storm force aftermath does more than enough damage for me - and we get pretty much ALL of them! The storms are nasty, but survivable. We do get the occasional nor'easter, as well, but they've lessened considerably since I was a kid ... and global warming is a hoax? Not in my world, it's not!

I'd really like the 'warming' to start up hahaha!

Bitterly cold here - I have 7 chooks in my heated feed room tonight, I had to add my two old Silkie Hens to the ones already in there over nights. They are just not handling the cold well. Tomorrow I am going to wall off the end of the barn and put my heater there as a warming zone for them to hang out in if they want.

Currently it's -13C (4F) and overcast still under a cold warning. Forecast low tonight of -19C. Brrrr!

For us here that is Fall and Spring weather, with the great lakes Autumn is always wet and dreary, lake effect rain and it's driven with force from windy weather - never fun!
