My husband roasts the green coffee beans we buy. I had a coffee tree that bloomed and produced fruit. It was just a handful, though, as we can only have them as houseplants during the winters we have here. I didn't keep it after it got too big for the room I had it in. They're only hardy in zones 9-10, I believe.

My parents order green beans to roast through Sweet Maria's, but I've never bothered doing it myself. I don't drink enough coffee for it to be worth the expense! I make a pot of cheapie grocery store coffee and it lasts me at least 3 days.

I might have to research this...I drink coffee every day! Kind of reminds me of the old west days. Hot or cold outside doesn't matter because a steaming cup of coffee settles everything. I don't think I'd be able to grow coffee without a large greenhouse here in the mountains though. First snow usually by October and last freeze/frost was in May last year.

I highly recommend the coffee from Redbird Espresso. It is organic and roasted the day it ships. The five pound bags even include shipping!

i have an india coffee tree in my yard that produces fruit, but i have never pulled any fruit to make coffee with. im not really sure on how to.

I have a coffee tree in my yard, sometimes my grandma makes coffee with it. It's spectacular. Better than you could ever find in a store.

I JUST ordered a few coffee trees! My husband wants me to grow tobbacco for his snuff and i started thinking about how much we pay for coffee too! Im really excited! :)
