cold Incubator

One week into incubation. Last night light bulb burned out in homemade incubator and temp dropped to 68 degrees. Eggs were cool to the touch. Are they done for?

no have you got the heat back up? do you know how to candle eggs?

replaced bulb immediately, candled eggs, but what do I look for?

You look for movement, But if it hasn't been 7 or 8 days in the incubator you might not see anything. If it has been 7 or 8 days you should see the embryo and it should be some movement to it.

slight movement if you dont see any just leave them for a few more days

All you can do is wait and see. I had a power outage last winter on the coldest night and my incubator dropped to 78 degrees. I was two weeks into incubation. I immediately got out my battery backup and hooked it up and brought the incubator back up to temp. I candled the eggs the next day and saw movement. Surprisingly I still had a good hatch.
