I got the information from threehorses and started treating my sick hen yesterday. Today, the little banty roo I picked up at auction last week is now sick. I suspect he was the carrier of the disease into my flock. I am reading a lot about infectious coryza and it appears as if you never really eradicate it without destroying your entire flock and starting over. Hens who had it and have gotten better will pass it on to chickens coming into your flock. You may not even know a chicken was sick because they were not symptomatic. Still they are carriers. If you have birds with respiratory symptoms please read this. I am not trying to be an alarmist but I have 23 chicks due to hatch in 10 days into a flock possibly infected with coryza. And I have two very sick birds in isolation pens.
