Hey All!
I have a very small flock of bantams: 3 cochins, a sebright and a sultan. I believe everyone but the Sultan will be fine this winter. I am in Rhode Island and New England is known for its nasty winters. I just built an insulated coop for them this summer and have plenty of ventilation in the eaves. I have a heat lamp already in the coop just in case! This is NOT something I want to be doing in the freezing cold.
For those of you that have ornamental breeds and especially Sultans, what is their cold limit. We are starting to get colder nights and it will get into the 30s this week. I worry about my little white girl!
Thanks!
