Cold Temps and raising your flock

We get a very wet cold and we're in a high wind and snow belt. Last winter, we had temps of -40C chill factor for about 10 days. Birds were fine- we're insulated and have an electric dog bowl to keep water liquid- we did keep them in most of that spell and we're insulated but not heated. We do have a layer light that comes on from 5 am- 8 am. The snow should help with your insulation- sorry you're getting so much, so soon. Been there, done that! ( didn't like it much)
