Collecting eggs

I have a small wire basket, the type meant for carrying small toiletries in a bath.

I just stick them in the pocket of my bathrobe (don't judge me )
But I don't expect more than 4 a day. I get between 2 and 3.
I am sure though one morning I will squish one bending over, completely forgetting the eggs I stuck in my pocket a second before.

You should have seen me yesterday with my coat pockets full of eggs, holding them carefully while running and yelling . Flock drama

I have been using my jacket pockets. Been kinda cold so i would come home at noon to collect eggs. Slipped on ice and all 3 eggs went into snowbank. Lucky none broke. So i am looking for better options.

I put em in my farm coat pockets or hold up the bottom of my shirt to make a pocket. I have an egg apron, but it's too cute to wear when I'm doing my farm chores.

I usually take the carton out to the coop to collect eggs. I've also used my hands several times, and their feed scoop once. If I ever get to the point where I'm getting more than a dozen eggs at once, I'll probably invest in a nice wire basket for egg collection.

i'd love to find a liner for it as i have already broken a few eggs by them rolling around. i know i can use a dishtowel but would rather have a liner that fits this basket specifically. i started searching etsy but didn't see anything like this. anyone here know of a place or someone who makes these? thanks

Now is the perfect time to look-easter. I would look for a cloth easter basket, about the same size or slightly smaller. I finally found a basket, lined it with a small almost baby pillowcase, then put a walmart bag to keep eggs from getting g lining dirty. Walmart bag gets gunky, I throw it away and use another
