Collecting oyster mushrooms

I didn't see the photo before - thanks for posting it again! I checked out mushroomsexpert - and the Kimbrough book. Looks like I have chanterelles from what I can tell, but I am still a little leery of eating them!

So I know this question has come up in the past posts and I have not seen a resolution or a firm yes/no answer. Since you are all discussing mushrooms here: Can chickens eat them safely?
In the fall I pick chantrelles and we have mountains of them. We use 1/2 fresh and the rest I process for canning or freezing. In the process of cleaning them there are lot of bits and ends. Can these be safely fed to the chickens?
