Hi! I live in Coupeville, Wa and have a Light Brahma Rooster that need a new, forever, NO KILL home. He's 1 year old & Stunningly Beautiful, but doesn't like me much...So I'm posting this in order to find Colonel Sanders a new home. All interest will be appreciated! Sent 5-4-2018.

Colonel Sanders was attacked by a Bald Eagle this morning while "free ranging"! He lost a lot of feathers-But not his life! My mini horse warned me something was wrong and I chased it off! He suffered a laceration on his back. But he's eating and drinking this afternoon. VERY Frightening!

Have you tried your state thread, so sorry for the Colonel, hope once he feels better he can find a loving and caring home, with lots of girls to keep him company! May want to put pic of the colonel on the state thread when he is better. Good luck :hugs

Eagle attack proves he is a good protector for a flock of hens. May want to add that to your state thread when you try to re home him.

Just my thoughts...but if he survived an eagle attack, unless you just have too many roosters - I'd keep him. He sounds like an excellent protector of the flock. I tend to think of Roo's much like livestock guardian dogs .. I'm not mean to them, but I don't expect them to act like a pet. They are working animals and as such, they have a job to do. It's my girls that I usually pick one (my favorite happens to be a dark brahma pullet) that I spend extra time with so they sit in my lap for rubs and love.
