You can't just get the chocolate gene you have to breed it in from a chicken that has it.
Its sex linked so best way is to find a chocolate rooster and breed to your hen.
All pullets they produce with have and show chocolate.
The cockerels will carry one gene for it but it won't show until they get two copies.
