Color? Father?

That's autosomal barring on the checks, but from the picture of your brown/chocolate chick his(it's a cockerel) the father is really not a Silver Braekel but looking at the pics again the rooster is a "Golden" meaning he has both the dominant sexlinked Silver(S) and the recessive sexlined gold(s+) in his make up, that cocholate chick is clearly gold based(s+/s+ one s+ from father and s+ from mother)
As far as I know, father was purebred Silver. My friend received Golden and Silver Braekel eggs from the breeder. She did hatch a golden braekel roo and I almost adopted him as well..it was hard deciding between the two. But ultimately, I liked the contrast of the white/black better. I thought it was more striking. I don't know who the breeder is but my friend spent a lot of money on her incubator and was very picky about who she got eggs from. If I remember right, her husband drove pretty far to pick the eggs up because of the guarantee that they were what the breeder claimed. The sire of these eggs was pure white/black with purple and green reflections in his tail. I suppose he could have been a cross and passed the golden color on but I would think that some gold might have leaked through in his feathering? But he was as white as his hatchmate was gold. He was definitely not a purebred Golden Braekel though I think you implied he might have been a cross with the white being dominant and the golden being recessive. I'll post some pics of the dad of the chocolate chick. I thought I had already but maybe not. The only other roo that could have fathered the chick is my FBCM and I just don't see that as a possibility at all anymore. There are no other roosters in my town...let alone my area as it's very suburban and technically, they're not allowed due to noise ordinances. I just have some really great neighbors. And even if there was a rogue roo somewhere, we have 8ft privacy fencing and the run is fully enclosed inside of that. So if another roo did somehow get in, I highly doubt it would be a rare golden braekel LOL But maybe I misunderstood you. Regardless, you confirmed my suspicions...he is indeed a little roo :/ Thank you! I doubt he'll be worth much as meat...maybe I can find someone to take him <3

It's a golden(S/s+) rooster, no doubt about it the chocolate chick is proof of that, now what I mean golden I mean in the strictly genetic sense, I know the the gold based Braekel are called golden, they are genetically gold(s+/s+) When Silver and gold are crossed the result is a bird that will resemble more Silver(some tones of yellow instead of silver feathers) than the gold side.

Edit.
I kindly request you keep him for a few more weeks if you can, I would like to see how his pattern develops seen how he is a heterozygous fro ER Db and Pg, would help others with similar crosses

I'll definitely keep him for at least a few weeks....at least until his crowing gets obnoxious as I like the little guy. If we are able to sell and move, heck, maybe I'll keep him to cross with an Ameraucana down the line for a cool looking, light egg layer :D But that move will probably be further in the future. Guess I'll keep updating with pics as he develops while I have him <3

I forgot to ask....we hatched 4 chicks out of my FBCM x red sexlink. 1 cockerel is fairly black...I didn't notice much copper last time I held him. The other cockerel has so much copper that were he a purebred, I'd cry haha. The one pullet hatched out white with random black spots but has feathered out predominantly white with a black tip here or there. The other white pullet also hatched out white with random black spots...but is now positively peach! Is that to be expected or another case of my life being upside down?

That is due to the Red Sexlink hybrids, they carry many genes that are in heterozygous form you can expect many results from the cross
