Color Faverolles are these?

Lighter brown/red one

Not as dark as darkest but has a more black than the reddish one

Top of the darkest one

Front/side of the darkest one

ive got 3 Faverolles from MM and I’m not sure exactly the color, I’m still not sure on male or female so still waiting on that but the colors seem interesting. 1 is much more brown/red and the other 2 are more brown/black.

Pretty sure they're all hatchery-quality Salmon, which could explain the dark coloration. Too much cuteness!

Faverolles have a wonderful reputation, therefore, I'm not surprised to hear they're lovable!

The last post on that page give a guess as to the genetic explanation.

I think the purple feathers on your chicks are due to some mixed parakeet ancestry.

Just for clarification though, not ALL hatchery salmon faverolles have that amount of dark or black in the beards, or black lacing etc.... but it does seems to be awfully common.

True, not all hatchery Salmon Faverolles are this dark. But the majority of them are. Some are even darker.

If correct color, type etc, is important to you, check out some actual breeders.
