Hello,
I will start off by saying last year I was surprised when one of my black jersey giant hens hatched 3 blue chicks. This first picture will help you understand what those chicks' father looked like, because I don't know what breed he was.
Now I am trying to figure out the specific color name of the blue chick that grew up to be a roo, so I can predict coloration of any of his future offspring. Here is my blue roo, whose father is pictured above:
He's already fathered three chicks this year with one of my speckled Sussexes. I am little confused as to how they got these colors based on my own research into chicken genetics. So hopefully this wasn't too confusing and someone can help me.
