Color I.d. on project bird.

I can't figure out what is going on with the color of this bird- I think she's gorgeous but the color isn't anything I've seen before. The mother is a silkie crossed with a gold cock. And I line bred the hen back to the gold cock and this is the result. Any guesses as to what is going on here?

I don't know but she sure is pretty, sort of like laced chocolate.

I had almost the same thing happen with a cross between my gold duckwing phoenix and either my blue wheaten EE or black Sumatra roo (hidden nest). Black head with a brown body with some black flecking. I'm pretty sure that the roo is the EE......that probably doesn't help much
