can anybody help identify the colors? the larger, dark brown should be just "jumbo"/wild color, right?
What about the lighter birds? Any way to tell gender by color?

First time "quail-mommy" here.

The darker brown ones are the pharaoh/wild colour, the lighter ones with darker flecking are Italians (and they look to be a pair) and then there's the white one. The wild and italian colours you can sex by looking at their chests. The girls have spots on a lighter background, the boys have a rusty coloured chest with no spotting. Occasionally you can get a boy with a spotty chest but there will still be the rusty colour underneath that indicates a male. The white one you will have to wait and see whether it starts to crow or lays an egg.
