when we got our chickens about 3 weeks ago 2 of them were laying green eggs. They have quit laying green eggs,& now are laying pale pink to light buff color. I kinda like the green eggs & I’m thinking a change in type of food may precipitate this change. Any suggestions on how to get my green eggs back.

Egg colors are determined by genetics. The color of the egg can change to a bit lighter or a bit darker, but not from green to beige. It must be different chickens laying the pink to beige eggs! ;)
This.
X2.

Are they EE's? They're eggs change colors.
I was guessing they are EE’s. They look like Ameraucana, but the lady I bought them from has all her chicken in one pen & I don’t think they are pure breeds. They are white with a little black laced thru around their necks. Their feet are dusky grey, & they have muffs and beards. Their eggs were a green color.

Hmmm, they could be splash ameraucanas. Could you take any pictures of them?
