I have hatched Americana chicks for the first time. They were all light greenish-blue. It appears that they are all pullets. When they get old enough to lay eggs, will their eggs be the same color as what they were?

Americanas can lay blue, green, or brownish tan eggs, it usually just depends on the bird. Most of them lay the blue and green though.

I know that. Let me re-word my question. Do they lay the same color egg as which they were hatched?

Genetics ... @BlueBaby is correct but it also depends on the parents of the Ameraucanas you have.

The Ameraucana is an American breed of domestic chicken. It was developed in the United States in the 1970s. They were bred up from blue egg laying Easter Eggers and other breeds. There are 8 varieties recognized in North America, in both large fowl and bantam.[2] The 8 varieties are Black, White, Wheaten, Blue Wheaten, Blue, Silver, Buff and Brown Red.[6]

Chances are your 'Americana' eggs were from Easter Eggers.
Where did you get the eggs?
