Color of feet

I have chickens with black legs. They are supposed to be that way. What kind of chicken is it? Hard to tell from the photo Different breeds have different colored legs/feet ranging from very pale yellow/nearly white to orange, green, and blackish.

She is a leghorn. Spending all day in her nest. From what I read here, she is brooding. Not laying - otherwise, seems fine, Eats a bit and drinks a bit when I "push" her out of her box. Should I make her get out every day - and for all day? I have no rooster - she is not "with chicks" !!

OK - this is actually good news - I was so afraid something is wrong with her. I'm new to this chicken hobby - and know nothing of the breed you wrote about, but will now learn. Thank you for this info!!!

Americaunas are more commonly known as Easter Eggers, they lay beautiful blue/green, sometimes pinkish eggs. Google Easter Egger and you will get more info.

Just a quick note Ameraucana police will be by soon Im sure ( im more of a a araucana deputy) but..BUT

Ameraucana (spelling of the name is a portmanteau meaning American Araucana) are NOT Easter Eggers. Normally its not a huge deal however one of the main things about Ameraucanas is that most color varieties have slate colored legs, and you can usually tell a bird is an EE and not an Ameraucana because EEs generally have willow colored legs(as do most varieties of Araucanas). Anyhoo.... you get the picture.

She must be some leghorn mix (i don't think i've EVER heard of a leghorn going broody, though i'm sure it must happen). I have some EEs, one with slate gray legs and the other with a lighter olive color. I also have Australorps with black legs and white pads on their feet. Plenty of breeds don't have orange or yellow legs.

I love it when they have different colored legs
