Color Sexing must not be 100% sure

He looked just exactly like the girls when we bought them
Now and 3 1/2 mos he still looks like the hens but much much bigger
He started to crow just yesterday and scared the hens to death
they all ran for the pop door at once trying to get in the coop
crashing into each other and the wall. He was doing his rooster
thing with one of the hens yesterday too.

He does look like my rooster except for the color. Still wondering what mine is. They are very handsome fellows:cool:

I'm hoping it's not 100%!

I bought 3 salmon faverolle pullets and one is definitely male judging by his color. I keep hoping though...

That looks like a boy to me, but I'm new at this.

But I wanted to add in here, to other people, that crowing does not a rooster make. I have a crowing Barred Plymouth Rock pullet -- the barring is sex-linked, and she crows because of misplaced hormones! This pullet's crow is completely dissimilar to a proper rooster crow, by the way.

Salmon Faverolles' colors are sex-linked as well. If feathers are growing in black, you've got a boy. Sorry!
