We are getting ready to paint our coop, and I'm thinking I want just the usual red, but I wanna see what other people think and what colors their coops are. I wanna stand out, lol. Thanks!

This was in progress.

Whay color is your home? What colors do you like?

Mine will be white (I had most of a 5 gal bucket of excellent white exterior paint given to me) with dark purple for any trim. Still have to buy the purple, hoping I can find a can at the habitat for humanity store when I go for hinges.

If you were closer i"d give you nearly a gallon, though next to light colors the purple i have gets a bit Barney the dinosaur, lol

Mine's dark green so it will blend in. How big is your coop and how is it shaped, what do you have to work with? Why not go with the red you want and use other colors, gold or yellow should work well, and draw designs on the red. You could go with an abstract design, a sunflower, maybe a sun. Just use your imagination.

Don't paint, use a solid color stain. It lasts much longer & doesn't peel off. That is if you are using wood! Mine has always been a Cape Cod gray.
