I've been talking of raising a backyard flock for about a year and TODAY was the day we got ourselves 4 pullets

Our coop isn't quite finished yet, so I figured this would speed things up a bit. My daughter and I drove out to a farm and picked out a nice assortment of 5 week olds - we are quite pleased with ourselves

and DH was smiling, so its all good!
