Wonder what breeds will be there...hopefully I can win a game.. chicks are irresistible..we went to the feed store to get a new lamp and bedding..came out with that plus a baby chick..sigh..chickens are addicting..

There will be chicks there for sure...... I wondered how come you now have THREE! lol

Well I went to Kiowa corner just to look...We all know that was a mistake..Then we had Genevieve..She is the favorite and alpha of the bunch...
We realized she needed another chick...Murdoch's offered Lillybell..We went in four minutes before closing and speckled sussex was the only one left...
Then..well feed store..chicks...we all know how that ends..

Yup...Trying to be stealthy about..mom said no more chicks..just dont say anything till the fest..Strike her when she is weak!!!! She will she the little thing and wont be able to resist!!!

BIG QUESTION:

My sister and mom like chickens..I love chickens, the three I have now are apparently pushing it for my mom but..She wants DUCKS!!! Her and my sister were wondering if CHICKEN FEST would be having an alternative poultry section..Or if it is possible for breeders to bring other types of birds to show off and sale...

We have not been doing this long since are first chicks are just almost two weeks old ( the oldest one anyway). We very much look forward to the games ( hopefully we win prizes (chicks)), pot luck that we will help with ( Desert anyone!)...I hopefully will get some more chicks if the warden (mother) allows..So do you think its possible??

Answer: YES! The same rules apply however, as I have to maintain some degree of biosecurity for my own birds. All poultry (that includes ducks, turkeys, geese, guineas, etc must be caged or penned at all times.

Windy Ridge Dominiques will be picking up two shipments of hatching eggs this week and putting them in the incubator.......If all works out......THERE WILL BE DOMINIQUE CHICKS at ChickenFest2013!!!!!
