Colorado chickenstocks, shows, swaps???

Just wondering if there are ever any shows or what close to me? I am in western Colorado and it seems as if nothing interesting ever happens here

I don't know of any in your area. There are some on the front range though.
Next weekend there are 2 swaps--one @ JT Feeds in Greeley on Saturday and a big one Sunday at the Brighton Grain elevator next to Brighton Saddlery. Maybe it means a trip over the hills? If I don't find a home sooner, I plan to bring 9 silkie chicks, 2 bantam cochin chicks--one frizzle partridge and a black mottled roo split to mille fleur cochin,a buff columbian bantam cochin roo and a easter egger pullet plus several good condition shipping boxes.

Hi, good to hear from you too! I would love some silkie chicks. I have been trying to trade for some silkie eggs but have not gotten any takers

I don't really have the reliable transportation to make it over the pass right now, perhaps there will be some shows over there after I find someone giving enough to let me have some sort of loan on a mini van that runs good, otherwise I would come snag those chicks!

Hey, Im in aspen

I was wondering the same thing. There haven't been many western slope people on here but 3 or 4 have joined in the last week. Sadly Im moving away in about a week, but Id say hang in there, it seems like western slope members are growing and you could have a nice littel community soon.

Where are you moving to? I swear with the price of land being what it is here I would move too, at least up to the higher country, but there is not enough work for hubby up there. Looks like I stay stuck here with all my birdy peoples penned at my moms house. Gotta give my landlord credit though, he knows I am brooding a bunch of ducklings and chicks in my living room and hasn't had a heart attack yet
